Rough, raw and ready. Those adjectives spring to mind when trying to describe Marcel Dettmann's musical temperament. The techno king is renowned for his epic DJ sets (he's resident at Berghain), the records on his own MDR label, his remixes for Fever Ray, Modeselektor or Scuba, and his albums on the Ostgut Ton label. Someone called him "one of the most influential proponents of contemporary techno". Say no more.
